2004年から2008年までアガサ・クリスティーが生み出した「ミス・マープル」を演じ、世界中のクリスティーファンを魅了したイギリス女優、ジェラルディン・マクイーワンさん。先月30日に82歳で亡くなりました。初代ミス・マープルを演じ人気を博したジョアン・ヒクソンの印象が素晴らしく、初めてマクイーワン演じるマープルを観た時は、その声の高さと痩せぎすの容姿に違和感を感じました。しかし回を重ねる毎に、薔薇色の頬のマープル嬢に同化していく様子には感動しました。ご自身が晩年のインタビューで仰っていた言葉が心に残っています。「特に女優は年を重ねると仕事を続ける事、仕事を取る事自体難しくなるものだけれど、私は本当に恵まれています。素晴らしい女優人生を送る事が出来て感謝しています。」
The actress, Geraldine McEwan known for playing Agatha Christie's "Miss Marple" has died age 82. She died on Jan 30th following a stroke at the end of October 2014. She appeared as "Miss Marple"from 2004 until 2008. Her son, Greg,and her daughter, Claudia said in the statement that her family would like to thank to the staff of Charing Cross Hospital who cared for her incredibly well. She won a BAFTA Award for her performance in the TV series "Oranges are not the only fruit" in 1990. She delighted in her late success on screen,"People are always saying that as you get older an actor, particularly women, It's hard to get work, but as far as I'm concerned the past few years have been wonderful".

ラジオ番組から卒業して約一年経ちました。当時浮かんできた歌詞とメロディーをベースに出来た曲の伴奏をピアノで収録。２０年前の番組オーディションで弾いたドビュッシーのアラベスクをベースに生まれた一曲。そのピアノの伴奏を収録してみました。
It's been an almost a year since I 've graduated from radio programs. It was a wonderful experience for me to bringing you good music from all around the world. So I've wrote a song about the radio, and recorded the piano accompany inspired by Debussy. Hope to bring you on iTunes this coming Spring.

ご近所に第二子の男の子が去年の冬に生まれ、今月は長男くんが誕生日を迎えました。心ばかりのプレゼントを渡して暫くしたら、産まれたばかりの赤ちゃんを抱っこしたママと、お兄ちゃんになったばかりの男の子、三人で挨拶に来てくれました。内祝いのお品と共にお兄ちゃんが渡してくれたのが、このクッキー。リスの家族の絵が新しい赤ちゃんが誕生したご近所のファミリーそのもののようで思わずニッコリ！暫く飾っていましたが、先日頂いたら大好きなポロンでした！ママがそっと赤ちゃんを渡してくれて、久しぶりに可愛い赤ちゃんを抱っこしました。「ふふっ」と笑って静かに抱かれていた赤ちゃん、幸せなひと時でした。
Our neighbor had a new family member, a cute little boy last year. A mother with a baby boy and the elder brother came to our house with a gift in return.What a charming picture with 4 family squirrels!Just like our neighbor family. Very heartwarming gift in return.

ジュリアード時代の先輩、クレアから届いたニューイヤーカードとギフト！日本に来る度和紙を買って帰る彼女は、美しい紙が大好き。今回もメルヘンカラーで彩られた紙で包んで送ってくれました。ハンガリアンダンスを習いに、度々ハンガリーを訪れているそうで、ハンガリー土産のジンジャーブレッドを添えてくれました。2000年以上の歴史があるというジンジャーブレッドクッキー、その始まりは神様へのお供え物だったそうです。真ん中に付いている鏡は、誠実さと穢れなき魂を現し、日々自分を鏡に映し、自らの心を清めたとか。

Thank you Claire, for sending me a beautiful card and gifts! When we were attacked by The Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011,S he sent us these almonds and other groceries. The heart from NY really helped us to get through the days. This heart cookie is from Hungary. I'm now looking this mirror and thinking about the old days in Maine.

2015年、明けましておめでとうございます! 毎年年賀状を出していましたが、今年から友人の住友優子さんに習って、節分明けに迎春ハガキを出す事にしました。今、ハガキに載せる春のイメージの花の絵を選択中です。

"Shaun the sheep"is a British stop-motion animated TV series. Having first aired in the UK on CBBC in March 2007 and broadcast in about 180 countries globally. In this series there is no spoken dialogue at all, even from the human characters;simple grunts, bleats, sighs, mutterings and similar wordless inflections are all used to indicate each character's moods and motives. This show won British Academy Children's Awards in 2010 and 2014.

今年は我が家のダイニングルームに変わり、大変お世話になりました。如水会館「ジュピター」と、キャピタル東急ホテルのラウンジ「オリガミ」の皆様。2009年から2011年にかけては、ゲストブックを作って大切なお仲間は我が家にお招きしていましたが、今年は外でお招きする事が増えた気がします。中でもお世話になったのが、神保町にある如水会館「ジュピター」と、溜池山王・キャピタル東急ホテル「オリガミ」。どちらもお誕生日のお客様をお招きすると、写真を撮って下さるので、自然と今年は大切な友人や家族との記念写真が増えました。
How are you doing on this New Year's Eve? We only invited 3 guests to our house this year. So I invited my friends, colleagues, and my families to my favorite restaurants which are "Jupiter "in Jinboucho, and "Origami" in Akasaka district. 今年も一年を締め括るひと時、誕生日を祝ってくれた三人の大切な友人たち。2006年に仕事でご一緒して以来、気が付いたらもう８年。今年一番右側の千歳さんは、私の義理の従姉妹となりました。一番左側がいつもリードして、会を開いてくれる暁弓さん。いつも細やかな心配りをありがとう。そして「今年はいろんな勉強した一年でした。」と、いつも真っ直ぐな生き方が可愛い直子さん。今年も徹夜明けで駆け付けてくれました。来年からは私がみんなを招かせてね！もう年を取らないから！と約束したところですが、忙しい三人が心を合わせて、素晴らしいひと時を作ってくれたこと、何よりの宝物です。
They are my dear friends. We've known each other since 2006. They are all TV directors. To your right is Chitose, she is married to my youngest cousin, and became my relatives this year. Ayumi (to your left) is proficient in Korean. she stayed in Korea about two years to learn Korean language. And Naoko now works hard directing one of corners of "Ippuku"on TBS.

今年も暖かいクリスマスの夜を迎える事が出来ました。毎週のように会っていた仲間と会えなくなる寂しい想いもありましたが、新しい出会いもありました。皆さんの愛に囲まれて自分がある事を感謝するシーズンでもあります。ラジオ番組を卒業しながらも、代理店の皆さま、制作スタッフの皆さまから沢山のプレゼントを頂き、胸がいっぱいになりました。お世話になっている美容室の皆さまからは、サプライズで「ヨハン・シュトラウス」という真っ赤なシクラメンを贈って頂きました。この２０年近く、毎年のように素敵なフラワーアレンジメントを贈ってくれる友人の幸子さん。今年はクリスマスカラーのアレンジメント!! ツリーの右側に飾った大好きな花「ブルースター」の絵は、妹の山本彩子の筆によるもの。今リビングで流れているのは、ビング・クロスビーのアルバム、ホワイトクリスマス。今シーズン、毎日のように聴いていました。

Thank you for sending me tons of "love"bd gifts today. Not only gifts, e-mails and the birthday cards, phone calls. I received a lot of "love"today. I am not good at sending e-mails. So I was writing thank you post cards all day for my dear friends and colleagues. Thank you again for the warmth and consideration. I'm very grateful.

They are my colleagues of "Mr.Sunday". A live worldwide information program, every Sunday evening from 10:00pm on Fuji TV. The master of ceremonies are Mr Seiji Miyane, and Ms Keiko Tsubakihara. This program really inspires me every week. I am very proud to be one of the members of this program as a narrator.
