就寝前に読んでいる海外ミステリーの一冊です。『ミレニアム』シリーズを読んでから、スエーデンのミステリー作品に興味を持ち、このヘニングマンケルの作品を読み始めたのが、半年程前。中でもクルトヴァランダー刑事が活躍するシリーズが好きになり、殆ど全作読みました。これは、そのシリーズの第一作。先日紀伊国屋で英語訳を見つけて購入。再度英語で読むと表現など勉強になり、面白いです。
This is my favorite mystery series written by Swedish writer called Henning Mankell.Mankell 's life itself is very unique.Besides writing,he is a stage director,and also playwright.He now lives in Sweden and also in Africa.So I learnt  a lot of new things including South African history ,German history etc. through his mysteries.
