日本で一番好きな場所・奈良。行く度に神秘的な体験が出来る場所でもあります。この映画は「癒し」の薬草「ビジョン」を巡って、奥深い吉野の森で紡がれる物語。河瀬直美監督の作品は初めて観ましたが、どこかテレンス・マリック監督に通じる「光」と「風」を映像から感じました。またフランス人女優・ジュリエット・ビノシュが語る美しい「英語」の響きにも癒されました。110分間のビジョンに、躰全体が包まれたひとときでした。
Japanese film director, Naomi Kawase's latest film"Vision"starring Juliette Binoshe and Masatoshi Nagase will be released on Friday, June 8th. I was given a opportunity to do a narration for the trailer. It was also my first experience to watch Kawase's work of art. Binoshe stars in the film as Jeanne, a journalist tracking a mysterious rare herb that appears only once in 997 years. Here are some lines what impressed me and took notes. "Death is part of the long sleep." "Feel it. Smell it." "Love is like the waves." I've felt and smelled the "vision" from this film. It was an extraordinary experience for me.
