花水木のシーズンですね。以前『ダニエル東京』で見つけた花水木のリースと、マウイ島の雑貨屋さんで購入した温度計。スカースデールに暮らしていた頃街のいたるところに植わっていて、５月になると可愛い花を咲かせていました。家族４人で暮らしていた子供時代を想いださせてくれる懐かしい花でもあります。
The dogwood is adopted as the official flower of the State of North Carolina and VIrginia.For many years,North Carolinians regarded the daisy as their state flower,and Virginians generally accepted the Virginia creeper.But when their legislatures finally acted to adopt official emlems,both chose the flowering dogwood.
