Bunkamuraザミュージアムで開催中の『レーピン展』を観に行ってきました。ロシアのノーマンロックウェルといった感じでしょうか？やはり肖像画が素晴らしかったです。晩年のムソルグスキーの肖像画などもあり、このトルストイもそうですが『ふ〜ん、こんな顔をしていたんだ〜』と頷きながら鑑賞していました。トルストイはレーピンの先輩の画家が描いていたそうで、その先輩が亡くなる迄待って描きに行ったそうです。特にトルストイからは仙人のようなオーラを感じたそうです。
These splendid exhibits are the collection of The State Tretyacov Gallery,and the author is Ilya Repin.The gallery is named for Pavel Tretyakov, a wealthy industrialist and indefatiable supporter of the arts.Repin is like a Russian Norman Rockwell to me.This is a Portrait of Leo N Tolstoy.This exhibition is held until October 8th at Bunkamura the museum in Shibuya.
